The story of Nāst Innovation Destination Torslanda
Reinventing Torslanda
Nāst Innovation Destination Torslanda is an innovation hub offering offices, co-working, events, community and more - all with a focus on sustainable technologies. Here, every element is carefully designed to foster a culture of innovation. Situated in the heart of Torslanda, it’s a magnet for talent and a collaborative place for companies to not only rent space but to co-create across borders.
This goes beyond property development—it’s about building ecosystems where development, collaboration, and co-creation turn visions into reality.

Development
Nāst spans 200,000 sqm and will host 3,500 professionals within two years. Co-working spaces and private offices are already open, with two new buildings underway—adding 50,000 sqm of offices, labs, restaurants, and social areas, ready for move-in in stages from 2025 to 2027.

Life between the buildings
The former industrial zone is transforming into an inspiring and attractive place with green spaces, workout areas, sustainable mobility hubs, restaurants, and more — all designed to support the talent shaping future innovations.
How it started
Shared challenges turned into a vision. Volvo Cars' ambition to pioneer next-generation mobility raised the question: Can the future of sustainable technologies be created independently?
A partnership
Volvo Cars turned to Steptura — a real estate company building spaces for innovation - to transform Torslanda into an innovation hub, creating spaces where people and companies co-create around shared challenges.
A collaboration process
By bringing together diverse stakeholders from the start, we’ve co-created everything from the initial vision to the physical buildings — accelerating innovation through collaboration.
Co-creating an eco-system
Nāst facilitates cross-sector collaboration by bringing together start-ups, scale-ups, industry, academia, and the public sector — creating a neutral space where new ideas and partnerships can grow.
Nāst
A place for all companies dedicated to sustainable technologies - where we accelerate innovation through co-creation to solve global challenges. With offices ready to rent from April 2025.
