Welcome to Nāst

An urban development project focused on five key areas — districts, buildings, nature, mobility, and open innovation — to create a dynamic environment that supports our community and attracts the world's brightest minds and talent.

A groundbreaking destination

Building on Torslanda's rich legacy of innovation, the neighbourhood strengthens Gothenburg’s role as a global hub for research and development. Seamlessly integrating nature and urban life, it offers cutting-edge labs, offices, and recreational areas where people can connect and collaborate.

Development

Nāst spans 200,000 sqm and will host 3,500 professionals within two years. Co-working spaces and private offices are already open, with two new buildings underway—adding 50,000 sqm of offices, labs, restaurants, and social areas, ready for move-in in stages from 2025 to 2027.

Life between the buildings

The former industrial zone is transforming into an inspiring and attractive place with green spaces, workout areas, sustainable mobility hubs, restaurants, and more — all designed to support the talent shaping future innovations.

A collaborative work process

Bringing this destination to life  has been a collaborative effort from the very beginning. Together with leading stakeholders, we've shaped a shared vision for the entire area.

From outdoor spaces and mobility flows to buildings and individual offices, every part has been co-created with partners, experts, and tenants to support work, collaboration, and innovation within sustainable technologies.

  • Focus for the districts

The district is seamlessly integrated into the surrounding forest, preserving the natural landscape and enabling easy movement between sites, offices, and companies.

  • Focus for the nature

The natural landscape is protected and made accessible to everyone, with recreational paths that encourage both leisure and activity.

  • Focus for mobility

Well-connected transport systems enable smooth, efficient movement while prioritizing pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport — all within a district that serves as a testbed for innovative mobility solutions.

  • Focus for open innovation

Offer accessible innovation hubs with flexible, creative spaces that foster collaboration and drive progress through shared environments and knowledge exchange.

  • Focus for the buildings

Sustainable materials and smart design shape a built environment that adapts to the natural topography and respects its surroundings — diverse, flexible, and future-ready.

The buildings

Take a look at the two buildings we currently have under construction at Nāst Innovation Destination Torslanda.

Nāst Hill House

Nāst Hill House is the landmark of Nāst — 24,000 sqm of flexible space for 1,250 professionals, including offices, labs, co-working, an innovation arena, and a restaurant. Designed by SHoP Architects, it opens fully in 2027, with the restaurant and town hall launching in early 2026. Co-working and offices are already available.

Nāst Treehouse

A new 26,200 sqm single-tenant office, designed by Henning Larsen, is a state-of-the-art, single-tenant building with a strong focus on sustainability — targeting just 250–280 kg CO₂e per GFA. It will host 1,600 employees and include amenities like a restaurant and café, with move-in planned for April 2026.

The facilities

Nāst brings people together through thoughtfully designed spaces — from offices and labs to event areas — all created to spark collaboration. Interiors combine sustainability, style, and function in every detail.
